Built in 2011 by Midland Canal Centre (Stenson) she is a 62ft long, narrow-beam, semi-traditional style stern boat. Commissioned by the current owner to a comprehensive, no compromise specification, she has been immaculately maintained and is stunningly presented.
The galley, saloon and after double bedroom have solid oak floors, oak deck-heads (ceilings) and solid oak cabinetry. Slate effect laminate tiles to the bathroom complete a very elegant look. Side linings have a white Muraspec finish.
The forward living area is equipped with a Lilyking black enamelled solid fuel burner with back boiler.
Fully equipped with 3 burner gas hob, including a Wok burner, there is an LEC 230V fridge, a full sized Belling oven/grill unit and separate built-in Baumatic combi microwave/grill unit. A water filter is installed in the cold water supply to the galley. Soft-closing doors to the cabinets and Oak and laminate worktops serve to make the galley a very appealing place to be.
Aft of the galley, there is dinette seating for 4 people which converts into a double bed. The dinette table is solid Oak. All upholstery and curtains are in ‘as new’ condition and are of a very high quality.
The large shower compartment with double cubicle is equipped with a thermostatically controlled mixer shower. There is a ‘sit on’ vanity sink and a Dometic ceramic cassette toilet with 3 cassettes. There is a 12V extractor fan to the shower cubicle.
After double bedroom
With ample hanging space and storage, the bedroom also houses the 230V washing machine.
The vessel’s hull is constructed from 10/6/4 steel and her paintwork is shiny and well-maintained. Forward, there is a hinged cratch board and a black canvass cratch cover whilst aft, there is a black canvass pram hood. All covers are in excellent condition. To the port side, there are two side doors and hinged top-hatch.
Powered by a Barrus Shire 4 cylinder 45hp engine with only 63 running hours to date! Transmision is by way of a PRM 150D2 hydraulic gearbox and a Centaflex coupling. Iolanthe II has a Sidepower bow thruster. The bow thruster battery bank is charged by a dedicated Victron 30 Amp battery charger. The engine has twin alternators with the high capacity domestic alternator having a 240A output.
The accommodation benefits from LED lighting throughout.
A Victron Combi 3kW inverter/120A charger is installed and the 230V supply has a galvanic isolator installed.
Hot water is supplied by a horizontal calorifier which is heated by the engine, by the back-boiler and by a 230V immersion heater.
The domestic battery bank has four 110A/hr batteries and there is a separate engine start battery.
The polypropylene water tank has a capacity of 440 litres and the cold water system benefits from an accumulator which is located behind the forward steps.
The integral mild steel fuel tank has a capacity of 310 litres.
Insulation is spray-foam.
Iolanthe II has a Boat Safety Scheme certificate valid until December 2019 and she is reported as being fully RCD compliant. The owner’s manual is present.
